Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) specializing in Quality Assurance (QA) with at least 3 years of professional experience to join our team. As an SDET QA, you will ensure the quality and reliability of our software products through meticulous testing and automation. You will collaborate closely with our development and product teams to implement effective testing strategies and processes, ensuring the delivery of high-quality software solutions to our customers.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain automated test suites to validate our software products' functionality, performance, and scalability.
- Design and execute test plans and test cases based on functional and non-functional requirements.
- Perform manual testing when necessary and analyze test results to identify defects and regressions.
- Raise and track Jira tickets to closure. Promote builds to UAT, Staging and ultimately production.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and provide input on testability and quality.
- Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and other team activities to ensure the overall quality of our software solutions.
- Investigate and troubleshoot issues reported by customers or identified during testing, and work with the development team to implement solutions.
- Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in software testing and quality assurance, and advocate for their adoption within the organization.
Qualifications:
- 2-4 years of experience in software testing, quality assurance, or related roles.
- Strong proficiency in test automation tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, JUnit, TestNG).
- Experience with programming languages such as Java, Python, or similar.
- Must have experience in API test automation using Pytest, RestAssured, etc, or similar tools.
- Solid understanding of software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum) and continuous integration/delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Proven ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
